Dukan Diet Attack Phase Day 2

You gotta focus only on the food you are allowed to eat. Eating only protein and keeping it non-fat (seriously, i am trying to make it as non-fat as possible but a bit of oil is still used in the cooking) isn't so hard for the Attack Phase because I am only doing it for 5 days. It's the second phase - The Cruise Phase which worries me. More on that when I get to it - this Thursday.

So here's what I had today.

Breakfast:
Tried the Oat Bran Galette as mentioned in the Dukan book. My dad helped me cook it cuz I can't do it to save my life. Cooking this pancake, itself without any oil, on a pan very lightly greased with oil, is very tricky. The first time I tried to do it myself, I completely burnt it. So here's what my dad did, which resulted in a beautifully golden pancake.

Heat up the pan. Grease it lightly with oil.
Then switch off the stove. Pour the mixture onto the pan.
Switch the stove back on. Low fire. Put the lid on the pan.
Let one side of the pancake cook till you see the sides "rise" a little and no longer sticking to the pan. Flip.
Cook the other side. Watching it cook all this while to prevent it from getting burnt. Lid must be on the pan too.

That's it.

So breakfast was an oat bran galette, two slices of chicken ham, instant coffee (I have not bought a coffee press yet) with artificial sugar and non-fat skimmed milk.

Lunch:
A can of tuna in water. I added in lots of ground black pepper and some sea salt.
A cup of non-fat blueberry yoghurt
A glass of hot green tea

Dinner:
Before I get to tonight's dinner, I just want to mention that the fish and pork cutlet the first night were really not nice to eat. My dad overcooked it in the oven.

Note: Don't cook the meat in the oven without covering the meat, cuz without oil/butter and vegetables, the meat will be very dry.

So this evening, my mom steamed the fish fillet instead. She added in some black beans, spring onions and chilli to give it more taste. The cooked fish had plenty of juice (from the fish) which was really nice. I did not take any of the garnish. My mom also prepared a very nice tofu soup which she added in some prawn and minced pork meat balls in it. Super good.

And I am going to have a diet coke, which is allowed in this diet.

So Day 2's Pure Protein dinner was really good and very low in fat.

By the way, through the day, I also kept my mouth busy with sugar-free sweets. I did not eat it non-stop of course.
