Dukan Diet Cruise Phase Day 3

Today I had lunch with a friend at a high-end japanese restaurant called Kuriya Penthouse. Japanese food is the first (and only?) option for me since I am on this diet. But it was a great lunch.

Breakfast:
Two hard-boiled eggs and coffee

Lunch:
Japanese. I had a chawanmushi, grilled mackerel (salted) and shared a platter of sashimi with my friend. I had the coffee that came with my friend's set lunch. Mine was all ala carte since all the set lunches came with something deep fried and accompanied with rice. It's not cheap to be on the Dukan diet indeed.

The sashimi platter with the freshest fish. Am I allowed to eat sea urchin?
The chawanmushi was so exquisite. It had ginkgo nuts (which I don't think I am allowed to eat?), shitake mushrooms, prawns and unagi.

Grilled mackerel, salted. It was so good. It was moist, and just nicely seasoned with the salt. The only thing was, it's almost TOO nice to be guilt-free. Maybe the oil was used generously. But when you are eating out, how do you control the use of oil? I think that moderation and logic have to be used on this diet. I want to follow it but not be crucified by it everyday.

Dinner:
Mom cooked a plate of broccoli, mushrooms and chicken. She used some oil to fry the garlic and the meat. Then she drained the oil. The broccoli and mushrooms are boiled separately and added to the chicken. I could not see much of a trace of oil. It was great.

Delightfully light and healthy.
